Junior Racing
Each Tuesday evening, the next generation of sailors takes to the water for Junior Racing at the Wawasee Yacht Club. Young sailors skipper their own Open Skiff sailboats, gaining hands-on experience in boat handling, racing strategy, and sportsmanship.
Designed to be fun, friendly, and educational, Junior Racing provides a welcoming environment for youth of all skill levels—from beginners still learning the ropes to experienced sailors honing their racing skills. With supportive coaching and a focus on teamwork, these evenings help foster confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of sailing.
Families and club members gather onshore to cheer on the sailors, creating a vibrant community atmosphere as the sun sets over Lake Wawasee.
Junior Sailing is Tuesdays 5pm-7pm.
