The Wawasee Yacht Club (est. 1935) is located in Northern Indiana on the state's largest natural lake.
Wawasee Yacht Club is one of the most dynamic inland lake one-design sailboat racing clubs in the US.
With large and vibrant fleets, a compelling social calendar, a welcoming clubhouse, community engagement, and a growing membership, there is a place for everyone at the Wawasee Yacht Club!
Join the Club!
Memberships are family in nature and cover all family members under the age of 25 living in the same household.
Social Members are able to attend all WYC social events, serve on WYC committees, maintain early access to Junior Sailing registration, and crew in WYC club races.
Active Members are able to attend WYC social events, serve on WYC committees, maintain early access to Junior Sailing registration, crew in WYC club races, make use of the clubhouse, maintain a Club Class sailboat at the pier or on the grounds (as space permits), skipper club class sail boats and be scored in regularly scheduled club races, rent one of the club’s apartments (if available), and use the winter storage area.
Junior Active Members have all the same rights and privileges as that of an Active Member, however, this membership is reserved for individuals under the age of 30 on May 1st, 2026.
