Each summer, the Wawasee Sailing Foundation proudly hosts its Junior Sailing Program at the Wawasee Yacht Club. This long-standing tradition brings together more than 180 young sailors, ages 8–15, for an unforgettable experience on the water.

Through hands-on instruction, teamwork, and plenty of time under sail, participants learn the fundamentals of sailing, water safety, and racing skills while building confidence and friendships that last far beyond the season. Whether brand-new to the sport or honing their skills for competition, kids thrive in a supportive, fun-filled environment that encourages adventure, responsibility, and a love of the lake.

The Junior Sailing Program is more than just a summer activity—it’s a community that inspires the next generation of sailors, fostering a lifelong passion for sailing and the spirit of Wawasee.
