Object of Event
This is a poker run, not a race. The object is to pick up cards at various locations, and submit your best five card hand at the last stop (WYC). You will be provided two cards at each pickup, giving you 10 cards in total to make your best five card hand. Please see below for ranking, in case you are not a poker expert. If you have a duplicate card (for example, (2) King of Hearts) – you may not use both in your five card hand.
(*Even though it is not a race, awards will be handed out when most boats have arrived. There is potential to miss awards if you are late. Plan to tie up at WYC and stay for awards, then sail home)
Course to Follow (in order)
1. Pontoon boat in middle of lake
2. Herderich – Pier 263
3. Westman – Pier 574
4. Eckrich – Pier 749

Summer Kick-Off Party
Join us for the Summer Kick-Off Party hosted by the Lightning Fleet featuring great company, refreshments, and celebration as the racing season gets underway!
Racing Rules Cocktail Hour
Dave Perry did a special session on the newest racing rules, which will be the basis for this session. We will focus on some particular rules of interest, letting Dave explain - then hit pause and have a group discussion to share questions and ideas.
A great opportunity for all sailors to get an understanding of many situations that occur regularly on the course.
Bring your own cocktails and get ready for the season!
Learn to Race Semiar
This is the third year for this session, which will be a seminar led by Race Chair Casey Call. The seminar is designed for people who understand the basics of sailing and are interested in learning what racing is all about.
