E-Scow Season Standings

Fleet Captain Communications

E Scow Sailors,

With only (7) weeks until the start of the racing schedule (Sunday May 26th) it is time to start tuning up your boats and putting your crews together. At this point in time it looks like we will be adding (1) racing team to the fleet. John/Michael/David Herdrich & James Wingard will be racing the Queisser E this season. As has been customary we will assign boats evenly to the Gold & Silver Fleets based on the 2018 end of season points standings (attached) with new boats assigned to the Silver Fleet. If a team would like to move up to the Gold fleet please contact me to discuss. We have (33) races scheduled for 2019 and hope that we see another very competitive season where race winners are spread across numerous boats in the fleet.

Special Note: George Simpson is looking for crew for the WA31 boat due to crew injuries that will prevent them from sailing this season. George has said that he is willing to share the tiller with another skipper and alternate flying the chute. If you know of anyone that is looking for an EScow ride & some tiller time please have them call George 260-205-6055

We will once again be hosting the WYC E Regatta scheduled for June 8th & 9th. Larry Palmer has been diligently planning for this event and we need all of our WYC boats to go to the website and register your boats this month so we can plan shirt purchases, food needs etc. As of today we have (4) off lake boats registered (H7, SL3, CR7, WH88) and Larry would like all of us to reach out to your off lake E friends and encourage them to attend, as always we will be providing housing for all off-lake competitors.. Only WA47 & WA16 have registered from the WYC fleet, skippers please register your boats. https://www.wawaseeyachtclub.com/registration

Hope to see you at the club opening on April 27th

Sincerely,

Bill Pipp
